The York-Weaving Essay Prize is open to all students in year 12 going into year 13 or equivalent. This competition provides an opportunity to practise your  academic argument and essay writing. ​

 

The top three essays will receive 1 hour free review and consultation of your personal statement with Dr Anna York-Weaving.

The deadline for entry is 18:00 BST on Sunday 15th September 2024

Essay Question - "Beethoven's 9th symphony shatters the conventions and boundaries of classicism and should be considered the first Romantic symphony" To what extent do you agree with this statement​

Essays should be no longer than 1,500 words.
